“This proposed Constitutional Amendment says government cannot discriminate. It says government cannot favor one group over another. Today, most Democrats voted in favor of discrimination and racial favoritism.
“This should not be controversial. There are only two reasons to vote against this proposal. Either you want government to discriminate based on race, sex, etc. or you want government to favor one race, one sex, one ethnic group over another.
“We fought a Civil War about this. The United States passed the 14th Amendment so we don’t have discrimination. Congress passed the Civil Rights Act in the 1960’s to prevent discrimination.
“Democrats voted against equality and voted for discrimination today. I’d say I’m shocked, but to anyone paying attention, it’s not a surprise.”
