The La Crosse County Democratic Party calls for a full investigation into the murder of Alex Pretty, as well as Renee Good and Lunas Campos, to be conducted by the proper local authorities without the interference of the federal government. LCDP also calls on this administration to remove these agents from our neighbor state of Minnesota and end the persecution of the American people.
Per La Crosse County Democratic Chair Whatt Molling, “Yesterday we watched in horror as ICE agents murdered Alex Pretti without cause. This, in conjunction with the previous killings of Renee Good and Lunas Campos along with the dozens others that have died in ICE custody, only continues to divide our country and make our communities less safe.”
“Furthermore, this administration’s decision to lie about Alex Pretti “brandishing” a weapon and say that he was there to “assassinate” these agents, is absolutely abhorrent and, frankly, orwellian.”
Alex Pretti was a VA nurse, Wisconsinite, son, and friend to many. His life was a testament to his desire to help others, something he continued doing till the very end. His community will miss him dearly, and we send our deepest condolences to his family.
To quote some of the offences listed against King George III in our Declaration of Independence, our founders stated:
“He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures.”
“For quartering large bodies of armed troops among us.”
“For protecting them, by a mock trial from punishment for any murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States.”
We call for peace in these tumultuous times. If you love someone, let them know. We call on all good Americans to stand up for what is right and speak out for our communities.
God bless America, and God bless Alex Pretti, Renee Good, and Lunas Campos.
