GREEN Bay, Wis. – The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) reminds the public of the fisheries management meetings set to occur online and in person on Tuesday, Jan. 27 and Wednesday, Jan. 28.

Join DNR staff online or in person Tuesday, Jan. 27 in Florence at the Wild Rivers Interpretive Center for a presentation on trout habitat improvement evaluations in Florence and Forest counties, where the impact of a dozen different habitat projects will be discussed.

Another meeting will be held Wednesday, Jan. 28 online and at the DNR’s Green Bay Service Center. This meeting will cover the Lower Green Bay Area of Concern (AOC) habitat restoration project and recapping the fisheries monitoring efforts that started in March 2025. Staff will discuss the history of the AOC, upcoming habitat projects and our AOC fisheries monitoring program.

These meetings allow the public to learn about game fish management and meet the DNR fisheries staff members working across Wisconsin.
