MADISON, Wis. — Following the murders of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, Derrick Van Orden went on a public meltdown on Twitter, desperately trying to justify the killings to protect the GOP and ICE’s lawless militant campaign against American citizens. His crash-out included attacking the Constitution, blaming both Good and Pretti for their own murders, accusing elected officials of sedition, inciting an insurrection and even a civil war, and spreading baseless conspiracy theories about the protests.
“Derrick Van Orden’s latest social media meltdown showed just how little he cares about the constitution and is willing to sell out Americans’ basic freedoms,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin spokesperson Philip Shulman. “Western Wisconsin is represented by a man who appears more interested in stoking violence and chaos than in the basic rights and needs of his constituents.”
Van Orden has continued to defend ICE’s actions in Minnesota by praising the agent who killed Good and calling for the impeachment of a judge who ordered the release of a five-year-old child from detention.
