MADISON, Wis. — Assembly Democratic Leader Greta Neubauer (D-Racine) released the following statement in response to AB 974 following floor session:
“I’m glad to see WisconsinEye is back online and helping Wisconsinites follow our work in real time once again. Without it, however briefly, the legislature was less transparent and accessible for our constituents.
“I appreciate the bipartisan effort that’s gone into AB 974, and I want to thank Speaker Vos and his staff for working with us to find a solution that would ensure WisconsinEye can cover our proceedings for the rest of session and build towards long-term stability.
“I believe our work here reflects the importance of open government and accountability to the people we serve. There’s so much we could accomplish together in the few days of session, and I hope that this is just one step we can take towards better collaboration.”
