“Tonight, the Governor tried to paint himself as a champion of affordability and tax relief, but Wisconsinites shouldn’t forget that he proposed tax increases in every single budget he’s introduced…then he abused his veto power to raise taxes for 400 years. Families across our state are still paying the price for that “creative” veto, even as he takes credit for the tax cuts Republicans had to insist on. If the Governor is serious about affordability, he can start by ending the gimmicks and working with Republicans to get rebate checks to taxpayers.”
