The Chippewa Valley community is invited to celebrate Earth Day at Eau Claire Earth Fest from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, April 18, at The Sonnentag in Eau Claire.
During this free event, community members can visit booths from sustainable businesses and community organizations serving the Chippewa Valley. Vendors will cover a variety of topics, including energy, biodiversity, recycling, transportation and much more.
In addition to the vendor fair, attendees can participate in special programming like the repair fair, bird watching at Braun’s Bay, a guided hike with Landmark Conservancy and free workshops.
The public also will be able to interact with students conducting sustainability-focused research projects at UW-Eau Claire, identifying which project should win a $1,500 prize.
Earth Fest is family friendly and there will be many activities for all ages. Learn more about the event on the Earth Fest website.
Businesses and organizations interested in participating as vendors are asked to visit the vendor information page.
Information about sponsorship opportunities can be found on the sponsorship page.
A special thank you to Eau Claire Earth Fest’s lead sponsors, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, the UW-Eau Claire Student Office of Sustainability and the Wisconsin Office of Sustainability and Clean Energy.
