MADISON – Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) President/CEO Kurt R. Bauer released the following statement after Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Vos announced he will not seek reelection in 2026, after serving as Speaker since 2013:
“Speaker Vos has been a true champion of free enterprise and a strong ally in the fight to make Wisconsin the most competitive state in the nation to do business. As Wisconsin’s longest-serving Speaker, he delivered major legislative achievements, including monumental tort and worker freedom reforms, and reduced taxes for hard-working Wisconsin families and businesses by approximately $40B. Speaker Vos’ leadership will be missed, and his historic career should be honored. WMC thanks him for his years of public service and friendship to Wisconsin’s business community, and wishes him all the best in the future.”
