Lt. Governor Barnes Will Highlight How Donald Trump And Tom Tiffany’s Washington Way Is Raising Costs For Wisconsin Families, Farmers, and Small Businesses

Ahead of Trump’s State of the Union address on February 24, Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes is hitting the road to call out the real costs of Donald Trump and Tom Tiffany’s Washington Way agenda that is raising prices on healthcare, childcare, housing, groceries and utilities all across Wisconsin.

On the “Reject The Washington Way” tour, Lt. Governor Barnes will join families, farmers, small business owners, and workers in Madison, Granton, Adams, Stevens Point, Catawba, Superior, Ashland, St. Croix,  and Milwaukee who are struggling to pay the bills under Trump and Tiffany and highlight his Wisconsin Way agenda to bring costs down as Governor.

“Wisconsin farmers are getting crushed by Donald Trump’s tariffs, small business owners are watching their costs spiral, and families are making impossible choices between groceries, rent, health care, and gas every single week,” said Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes. “Meanwhile Trump’s handpicked candidate for Governor, Tom Tiffany, is in lock step with his disastrous agenda and would make life even harder for Wisconsin families if elected, allowing prices to rise even more while he caters to his billionaire donors. That’s not the Wisconsin Way—that’s the Washington Way, and we’re going to make sure he knows that’s not what Wisconsinites want.”

The “Reject The Washington Way” tour kicks off Friday, February 21st in Madison and runs through the State of the Union, with stops in:

  • Granton and Stevens Point on Saturday
  • Catawba on Monday
  • Superior, Ashland,  St. Croix and Adams on Tuesday
  • And will close in Milwaukee on Wednesday morning

Since launching his campaign for Governor, Mandela Barnes has traveled to every corner of Wisconsin on his Wisconsin Way tour, talking to families, farmers, and small business owners about how rising costs are squeezing them, including a five-stop swing through Tom Tiffany’s own congressional district, calling out Tiffany’s record of voting to raise costs on the people he’s supposed to represent.

On his stops across the state, Mandela Barnes has highlighted his Wisconsin Way agenda to make life more affordable, including:
