Green Bay, Wis. – Today, State Rep. Ryan Spaude (D-Ashwaubenon) announced his bid for a second term in the state assembly. Spaude was elected to represent the 89th Assembly District in 2024. The district covers the West Side of Green Bay and Ashwaubenon. He released the following statement:
“I’m excited to announce that I’m running for a second term. Representing the West Side of Green Bay and Ashwaubenon in the state assembly has been the honor of a lifetime.
“As a prosecutor, I fought to keep our streets safe. As your representative, I’m fighting to keep more money in your pocket.
“Over the past year, I’ve introduced legislation to lower the cost of groceries, housing, and prescription drugs. I’ve written bills to curb reckless driving and close OWI loopholes. Additionally, I’ve voted to create positions in the Brown County Courthouse for more judges, prosecutors, and public defender staff.
“Going forward, I will continue fighting to lower property taxes, raise the minimum wage, cap the cost of utilities, and fully fund our public schools.
“I’ve worked hard to champion the issues that my community cares about when I’m down in Madison, and I’ve had some breakthroughs. But there’s so much work to be done. I look forward to earning your vote between now and November 3rd.”
