Fitchburg, WI – Representative Randy Udell will be seeking re-election in the 47th Assembly District in 2026. First elected in 2024, Udell has been a strong and effective voice for his constituents in Fitchburg, Stoughton, McFarland, and the towns of Albion, Dunkirk, Dunn, Pleasant Springs, and Rutland, and is seeking a second term to continue that work. “Serving the 47th Assembly District has been one of the greatest honors of my life,” Udell said. “I’m running for re-election to keep pushing for smart solutions that expand broadband access, support quality education, protect our environment, and ensure local communities in our district and across the state of Wisconsin thrive.

During his first term, Udell has focused on rural broadband expansion, strengthening local infrastructure, and advocating for responsible budgeting and fiscal oversight. His background as a telecommunications engineer, city alderperson, and county supervisor has informed his pragmatic approach to legislative service.

“I’m proud of the progress we’ve made in our district during my first term,” Udell said. “But there’s more work to be done. I look forward to continuing to represent all the wonderful communities in the 47th District with integrity, transparency, and a commitment to serving and listening to all of our neighbors.”

Udell currently serves on the Assembly’s Financial Institutions, Forestry, Law Revision, Parks & Outdoor Recreation, and Insurance Committees, as well as the Governor’s Task Force on Broadband Access, where he brings his expertise to bear on key issues facing Wisconsin families and businesses.
