GOP Rep. Rick Gundrum, who first joined the Assembly after winning a 2018 special election, announced today he won’t seek reelection.
“After much thought and prayer, I have decided it is time to begin a new chapter in my life,” said Gundrum, who served on the Slinger Board of Trustees and the Washington County Board. “I have served for 20 years in local, county, and state government and look forward to devoting more time to family, friends, travel, and other projects.”
Gundrum is the fourth GOP member of the state Assembly to decide against seeking reelection this fall. The others are: Speaker Robin Vos, of Rochester; Speaker Pro Tempore Kevin Petersen, of Waupauca; and Rep. Dave Murphy, of Hortonville.
