A Dem group is hitting GOP U.S. Rep. Bryan Steil on tariffs in a new media buy with a woman saying in the spot the Janesville Republican should “stop raising our costs.”
Opportunity Wisconsin said it’s spending $613,000 on TV and digital on the ad.
The spot features a woman identified as Deb, of Mount Pleasant, who says her famous lasagna “costs a fortune these days.” She recounts the change in price for ingredients such as the sauce, noodles, meat and cheese.
She says Steil supported tariffs that are raising prices and then pulls her lasagna out of the oven.

“That’s gonna be good. But it shouldn’t cost so much,” she says to close the spot. “We need to tell Bryan Steil to stop raising our costs.”
