Wisconsin AFL-CIO President Stephanie Bloomingdale released the following statement on the April 2, 2026 Wisconsin Supreme Court debate between Judge Chris Taylor and Judge Maria Lazar:
“Working people in Wisconsin are engaged and ready to vote in our April 7 spring elections. We know democracy works best when it is powered by the people. On the ballot this spring is a chance to elect our next Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice. Wisconsin Supreme Court Justices rule on a range of pertinent issues that impact each and every working person in the state.
Tonight, Judge Chris Taylor’s thorough, worker-centered responses showed that she is the best candidate for the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Working people can trust Judge Taylor to consistently make rulings that are fair, balanced, and value our rights and freedoms as workers.
The Wisconsin AFL-CIO is proud to endorse Judge Taylor for Wisconsin Supreme Court and encourages all union members to get to the polls on April 7.”
