Billboards will target Reps. Chuck Edwards (NC-11),  Derrick Van Orden (WI-03), Juan Ciscomani (AZ-06), Bill Huizenga (MI-04) and Tom Barrett (MI-07) – several of whom recently went sightseeing on a trip to Scotland

Washington, DC – Climate Power is launching a five-figure digital out-of-home ad campaign reminding people that they can thank their Republican representative and Donald Trump for $4 per gallon gas prices. As several GOP members tour a castle in Scotland and hide from their constituents, Climate Power is reminding voters that their representatives voted to raise gas prices, utility costs, and groceries prices.  The ads will be on screens and reach constituents on their commutes in five congressional districts near gas stations and congressional offices. The billboards are the latest installment in a multi-million dollar campaign to educate Americans about why their costs are rising.

Climate Power Senior Advisor Jesse Lee issued the following statement: “As Americans drive to work and wonder why they just paid $4 per gallon, our billboards will let them know who’s to blame. Republicans are too busy touring castles to speak to their constituents, but here’s what those of us still in the country know to be true: the GOP affordability crisis is forcing families to make tough choices between keeping the lights on, filling their tank, or feeding their children. It’s completely unacceptable, and while GOP members of Congress refuse to face their constituents now, they’ll be forced to answer for their war on our wallets in November.”

The five-figure ad campaign will include:

  • 150 screens across five districts starting April 3 and running through next week: NC-11 (36 Boards), WI-03 (12 Boards), AZ-06 (3 Boards), MI-04 (67 boards), MI-07 (40 boards)
