MADISON, Wis.—The Universities of Wisconsin today announced four finalists for the position of chancellor at the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire, a 9,500-student comprehensive university known for excellence in undergraduate research, interdisciplinary learning, and regional partnerships.
A Special Regent Committee selected the finalists from a list of candidates identified by an 11-member Search and Screen Committee led by Regent Karen Walsh, chair, and Arthur Grothe, Professor of Theatre Arts, vice chair.
The finalists, listed in alphabetical order, are:

Next week, the candidates will participate in separate campus forums, offering opportunities for students, faculty, staff, and community members to interact directly with them.
After reviewing campus feedback, Acting Executive-in-Charge Chris Patton and the Special Regent Committee, comprised of Regents Edmund Manydeeds III, Timothy Nixon, Tom Palzewicz, and Amy Traynor, and chaired by Regent Walsh, will interview the finalists. The Special Regent Committee will recommend a single successful candidate to the Board of Regents, which must approve the appointment.
The person selected through this process will be UW-Eau Claire’s 9th leader.
