Potosi, WI – John Rindy has formally announced his candidacy for the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing the 49th District.
“I’m running to listen to the concerns of my neighbors, ensure legislative transparency, and protect the interests of everyone in our district,” said Rindy. “As your representative, my goal is to amplify the collective voices of the 49th.”
Rindy, 58, is a lifelong resident of southern Wisconsin and resides in Potosi. He earned an Associate Degree in Mechanical Design from Southwest Wisconsin Technical College. His professional background includes work in technical sales and development, installation, small business ownership, commercial transportation, and agriculture. He is currently semi-retired.
“I’m proud of my Wisconsin roots and our district’s hardworking people,” Rindy said. “The issues that matter to me include halting unnecessary data center development, reducing and eventually eliminating property taxes, securing sustainable funding for public schools, protecting family farms through fair markets and tax incentives, supporting unions that defend fair wages and safe workplaces, and reforming cannabis laws for responsible medical use.”
Rindy emphasized that his campaign is centered around listening and collaboration. “These are the issues that matter to me—but I want to know what’s important to you. The best legislation comes from real conversations with the people it affects.”
