Madison, WI — Wisconsin Women in Government is proud to announce a distinguished panel of women leaders who will headline the organization’s 2026 Annual Scholarship & Recognition Gala on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center.

The featured panel will include Wisconsin Department of Administration Secretary Kathy Blumenfeld, Kenosha County Executive Samantha Kerkman, and State Representative Lee Snodgrass (D-Appleton). The conversation will be moderated by Milwaukee County Supervisor Sky Z. Capriolo, who also serves on the WWIG Board of Directors

The panel will explore leadership in public service, navigating challenges in government, and the importance of mentoring and supporting the next generation of women leaders in Wisconsin.

“This panel reflects the strength, talent, and diverse experiences of women serving at every level of government,” said Emily Petersen, President of Wisconsin Women in Government. “We are honored to welcome these accomplished leaders and know their insights will inspire everyone in attendance.”

The WWIG Scholarship & Recognition Gala is the organization’s premier annual event, bringing together professionals from across Wisconsin for an evening of networking, celebration, and philanthropy. The event supports WWIG’s scholarship programs, leadership development initiatives, and efforts to advance women in public service.

In addition to the keynote and panel discussion, the evening will include recognition of the 2026 Rising Star Award, Legacy Award, and Virginia Hart Award recipients, a silent auction, networking opportunities, and heavy hors d’oeuvres with a cash bar.
