MADISON, Wis. — In an attempt to protect his Republican buddy in Congress, disgraced congressman Mike Green, Bryan Steil cornered a reporter to talk her out of taking legal action after she was falsely accused of being involved in his extramarital affair. Steil went so far as to try and scare her out of reporting the incident by warning her that pursuing protective legal action would tank her career.
“Bryan Steil won’t speak out about his involvement in trying to cover-up a sex scandal for his Republican buddy—what is he trying to hide from the voters of his district?” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin spokeswoman Rachel La Due. “Bryan Steil needs to come forward and tell the truth about whether he weaponized his power and the committees he sits on to try and silence a female journalist—Wisconsinites of the first Congressional district deserve those answers.”
