MILWAUKEE – Milwaukee County Supervisor Sky Z. Capriolo recently served as moderator for a featured leadership panel at the Wisconsin Women in Government 2026 Scholarship & Recognition event in Madison, highlighting women in public service.
The bipartisan panel brought together Wisconsin Department of Administration Secretary Kathy Blumenfeld, Kenosha County Executive Samantha Kerkman, and State Representative Lee Snodgrass for a candid, personable, and enlightening discussion on leadership in public service, navigating challenges in government, and the importance of mentoring and supporting the next generation of women leaders in Wisconsin.
The audience responded enthusiastically to the conversation, which touched on issues important to women regardless of political affiliation. This marks the second year Supervisor Capriolo has hosted the panel, continuing a tradition of thoughtful discussion and leadership engagement. According to Supervisor Capriolo:
“I was honored to take part in this important conversation with such accomplished women leaders,” said Supervisor Capriolo. “Events like this help elevate women in government and reinforce the power of mentorship, collaboration, and public service.
“I also want to thank Emily Petersen and Wisconsin Women in Government for their continued leadership in creating spaces that support, inspire, and prepare the next generation of women leaders in public service.”
The event brought together professionals from across the state for an evening of networking, celebration, and support for Wisconsin Women in Government’s scholarship and leadership development efforts.
