(NEW FRANKEN)… Statement from Nic Cravillion, GOP state Senate Candidate for Northeast Wisconsin’s 1st District:

“Friends and neighbors,

My name is Nic Cravillion, and I’m proud to call Northeast Wisconsin home.

I was born and raised on a family farm in New Franken, and like so many families here, my roots are grounded in hard work, responsibility, and community.

After graduating high school, I joined the U.S. Army and deployed to Afghanistan in 2011 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. I returned home in 2014 determined to continue serving my community, with a deeper understanding of sacrifice, leadership, and accountability.

Today, with over 15 years of military service, I continue to serve in the Wisconsin Army National Guard.

My family and I live on our 7th-generation homestead, land that’s been in our family since 1854. It’s a daily reminder of the values, traditions, and responsibility we carry forward.

For the past seven years, I’ve worked in public service, including five years serving as District Director for Senator André Jacque. In that role, I’ve worked directly with farmers, small business owners, veterans, and families across this district—helping navigate government and pushing for real solutions when it falls short.

My ties to this community run deep. My family operated a well-known local bar and restaurant for many years, and today I’m a small business owner myself. My wife is a local realtor, and together we see firsthand how housing in Wisconsin is becoming out of reach for first-time homebuyers, and how rising property taxes are pushing seniors out of the homes they worked their whole lives to afford.

I remain active in our community through my church and local service, as well as organizations like the American Legion Post 262 (Luxemburg) —staying connected to the people and values that make this area strong.

But above all else, I’m a husband and a father. That’s what drives me every day—and it’s why this matters.

While I’m saddened that my friend and mentor, André Jacque, has decided not to seek reelection, I believe now is the time for me to step up, continue the work we’ve started, and fight for the values that define our communities.

Today, I’m announcing my candidacy for the Wisconsin State Senate, representing the 1st District.

This campaign is about Working for Wisconsin—and focusing on what matters most:

·  Fighting to lower the tax burden on hardworking families and seniors

·  Standing up for our farmers, small businesses and rural communities

·  Expanding workforce and affordable housing opportunities

·  Protecting our outdoor heritage and supporting conservation, hunting, and youth and veteran access

·  Holding government accountable and making it work for the people—not the other way around

I’ve been working for you—and I’m ready to do even more.

Because Wisconsin is worth fighting for.”
