WI State Capitol, Madison, WI—Former State Representative, carpenter and governor candidate Brett Hulsey today called on all Wisconsin legislators to support struggling families, property taxpayers, schools, students, and special needs children.
“Give us our money back! Pass the Governor Evers and Senate and Assembly GOP leaders’ compromise to give back $1.8 billion to help Wisconsin struggling families from the Trump-Tiffany Iran war,” said Hulsey, who fought against the $ 2.436 billion cuts to schools and workers in 2011 that then State Rep. Tiffany supported.
“I will not make my opponents’ youth and inexperience an issue in this governor’s campaign, but Rep.Tiffany (Tiffany-Trump) supported by Pres. Trump and several Democrats are opposing this compromise showing their lack of wisdom,” Hulsey said.
“The perfect solution should not be the enemy of a good step forward. The Evers/GOP leaders’ compromise is the best step forward to help our families and schools struggling with the high costs of the Tiffany-Trump Iran War, soaring gas and food prices, and utility bills. It returns some $2.4 billion of the school money former Rep. Tiffany-Trump and Gov. Scott Walker took from our school children, workers, healthcare, retirement, UW and Technical Colleges in the 2011 Unfair Despair Act 10.”
“Governor Evers and GOP leaders did their best to get some of the $1.666 billion that Tiffany-Trump and Gov. Walker took from our school children, property taxpayers, students and workers, in 2011,” said former Rep. Brett Hulsey, the only candidate who debated against that bill for 62 hours and ran against Governor Walker in 2014 to get the Act 10 money back
“This money will help all our property taxpayers, renters, and Wisconsin public school students, especially special needs kids. My nephew has autism and needs more help.”
