The following is the statement from David Crowley in reaction to the DOJ actions in Milwaukee County today:
“Donald Trump lost the 2020 election. Courts confirmed it, recounts confirmed it, his own officials confirmed it. He still won’t let it go.
Instead of addressing the affordability crisis he created, Trump is chasing retribution and conspiracy theories while Wisconsin families struggle to make ends meet. Instead of addressing the rising costs at the pump or in the grocery store, that he caused with his needless and illegal war in Iran, he would rather chase retribution and renovate the White House on the taxpayer’s dime. He openly said he doesn’t even think about people who are struggling. That’s not leadership. That’s a man throwing a multi-year tantrum because he lost an election six years ago. Wisconsin families deserve better. It’s loser behavior.
As the next Governor of Wisconsin, I will not stand by as Trump uses the federal government to intimidate election officials across our state and drag Wisconsin backwards. I will protect our election workers from harassment and never let political retaliation govern our free and fair elections.”
