MADISON, WI — The Wisconsin Association of School District Administrators is pleased to announce that two Wisconsin superintendents have been elected to serve on the Governing Board of AASA, The School Superintendents Association.
Dr. Tremayne Clardy, superintendent of the Verona Area School District, and Dr. Amy Starzecki, superintendent of the School District of Superior, were selected through a membership-wide vote in April. They will each serve three-year terms beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2029.
The AASA Governing Board serves as a national voice for school district leaders and helps guide the work of the organization. Clardy and Starzecki’s election ensures Wisconsin superintendents continue to have strong representation in national conversations regarding public education.
“Dr. Tremayne Clardy and Dr. Amy Starzecki represent the very best of Wisconsin educational leadership,” said WASDA Incoming Executive Director Damian LaCroix. “Their election to the AASA Governance Board strengthens Wisconsin’s voice nationally at a critical time, and I am confident they will advocate with clarity, collaboration, and purpose for the needs of all districts across our state.”
Clardy and Starzecki will succeed Dr. Bryan Davis, superintendent of the Oshkosh Area School District, and Dr. Tonya Olson, superintendent of the Lake Mills Area School District, whose terms conclude June 30, 2026.
They will join Wisconsin’s current AASA Governing Board representatives Paul Schley, superintendent of the Cornell School District, and Jeff Nelson, superintendent of the Grafton School District.
WASDA thanks Davis and Olson for their service and continued commitment to representing Wisconsin school districts at the national level.
