GOP gubernatorial candidate Tom Tiffany announced a new TV ad that says it’s “time to send in the dam man.”

Tiffany’s campaign said it’s part of a new seven-figure buy that will run statewide on broadcast, streaming and digital platforms. As of this afternoon, AdImpact had tracked nearly $2 million in reservations by Tiffany for the campaign. That includes more than $267,000 in spots beginning today.

In the spot, the GOP congressman from Minocqua touts the 29 years he’s spent as a dam tender on the Willow Flowage, saying he knows how to “stop the flow of waste and fraud in state government.”

He promises to defend family farms, cut property taxes, stop “Wall Street from buying our homes” and to lower utility rates.

Tiffany closes the ad, “And since Madison’s solution to every problem is to drain your pocket book, it’s time to send in the dam man.”
