Madison, WI – May 15, 2026 –

Today, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Madison (RMHC-Madison) celebrated the grand opening of the newest Ronald McDonald House Family Room at Rogers Behavioral Health East Madison Clinic, which will provide services to families whose children are receiving essential mental health treatment.

This collaboration expands RMHC-Madison’s mission of keeping families close by offering a welcoming and supportive environment for caregivers and siblings during the day while their child is receiving mental health treatment.

“This new partnership is especially close to my heart,” Stephanie Hayden, CEO of RMHC-Madison, shared at the event. “I know what it’s like to love someone who needed this kind of care – the loneliness of sitting in a waiting room, or a parking lot, or nearby coffee shop – just trying to be close, to help, to hold it together.”

Caregivers are often required to stay on-site while their child receives outpatient care, leading to missed work, limited access to food, and emotional fatigue. Families can now enjoy a restful space with the comforts of home, including access to nourishing snacks and drinks, remote workspaces, entertainment options, and quiet spaces to recharge while their child receives the care they need.

“I know how much it would have meant to have a place like this,” Hayden continued. “This new Family Room is for the parents, the siblings, the caregivers, and the loved ones who show up every single day, even when it’s hard. Our team is ready to sit with you, hold your hand, listen, and just be there for whatever you need.”

This new Family Room offers a welcoming space to support families with a comforting place to work, rest, eat, feel supported, and be better able to stay engaged in their child’s care and move toward healthier futures.
