(WAUKESHA, WI) – Bridges Library System is excited to announce Tracks in the Stacks Bigfoot Hunt, a free summer library adventure happening at all 24 Bridges member libraries in Jefferson and Waukesha counties. Community members of all ages are invited to visit libraries, search for friendly hidden bigfoots, collect footprint stamps, and enter for chances to win prizes. The program runs Monday, June 1, 2026, through Friday, August 21, 2026.

“Summer is the perfect time to discover all that your local libraries have to offer,” said Brittany Larson, Director of Bridges Library System. “The systemwide Bigfoot Hunt encourages community members of all ages to explore, connect, and make the most of their library visits now and throughout the year!”

To get started, participants can pick up a Bigfoot Hunt map at any Bridges member library beginning on June 1, 2026. Players can visit the libraries in any order, spot each library’s bigfoot, collect footprint stamps and learn something unique at each location. At every library they visit, participants may also fill out an entry form for a chance to win prizes. The more libraries a player visits, the more chances there are to win!

Bridges Library System will award twelve $50 gift cards, with winners selected at random. The last day to complete the hunt and submit prize entries is Friday, August 21, 2026. An active Bridges Library System CAFÉ library card is required to be eligible to win prizes. There is no library card requirement to simply participate.
