(NEW FRANKEN)… Nic Cravillion officially submitted over 700 nomination signatures to the Wisconsin Elections Commission on Friday, May 22 from residents across Wisconsin’s First Senate District, including farmers, veterans, small business owners, working families, and law enforcement and first responders, requesting that his name appear on the 2026 ballot. Cravillion became the first candidate seeking to represent the citizens of the First Senate District to file nomination signatures, accomplishing the milestone just over two weeks after announcing his campaign.
The Wisconsin Elections Commission requires candidates for State Senate to submit a minimum of 400 valid signatures to qualify for the ballot, with 800 signatures serving as the maximum allowed under state law. Cravillion’s campaign submitted more than 700 signatures to qualify for both the August 11 Republican Primary and the November 3 general election.
“I am truly humbled and appreciative of the outpouring of support and encouragement our campaign has received over the past couple of weeks from people across Northeast Wisconsin,” said Cravillion.
Cravillion is a Northeast Wisconsin native, small business owner, Army combat veteran, and has spent the last five years serving as district director for Senator André Jacque, who is retiring after serving in the state legislature since 2011. Cravillion has served in the United States Army and Wisconsin Army National Guard for over 15 years, including a combat deployment to Afghanistan, and continues to serve with the Wisconsin Army National Guard today.
“Our campaign’s message, centered on getting excessive government out of the way, addressing the affordability crisis which is making it so difficult for families to make ends meet, and preserving the values and freedoms that have made Northeast Wisconsin the best place to live in the country, is resonating with voters,” said Cravillion. “I look forward to continuing to earn their trust and support in the months ahead, so that together we can work to make a better Wisconsin.”
