Fair Wisconsin PAC, the political action committee of Wisconsin’s only statewide LGBTQ+ civil rights and political advocacy organization, announced their first endorsements in two Congressional Races and two competitive State Assembly primaries. Abigail Swetz, Fair Wisconsin’s Executive Director, issued the following statement:
“These current and future elected leaders are not only champions for the LGBTQ+ community, but also represent a vision of Wisconsin as a state that must always strive to be more inclusive, more welcoming – a state that is committed to working towards a Wisconsin where the entire LGBTQ+ community is fully protected under the law.
Having made history in 1992 by electing our current Senator Tammy Baldwin as the first openly LGBTQ+ person to serve in the Wisconsin legislature, Wisconsin voters again have the opportunity to make history in 2026 by electing the first transgender legislator in our state’s history by electing Dina Nina Martinez Rutherford, as well as expanding the LGBTQ+ caucus by electing Ismael Luna.
Voting for these legislative candidates is a key step in electing a pro-equality majority to the Wisconsin legislature that will govern for all Wisconsinites and build a fair, just, and forward-thinking Wisconsin.”
The following candidates are endorsed by Fair Wisconsin PAC for the Fall 2026 primary and general elections:
Congressional:
Congressional District 2 – Mark Pocan
Congressional District 4 – Gwen Moore
State Assembly:
Assembly District 8 – Ismael Luna
Assembly District 76 – Dina Nina Martinez Rutherford
