“Donald Trump is killing America’s Dairyland, and his hand picked candidate for governor, Rep. Tom Tiffany, is helping him do it.
“Since Trump launched his illegal war in Iran, diesel prices have more than doubled and fertilizer prices have skyrocketed—right at the start of the growing season. And though he tried to lie about it, Tom Tiffany cast the deciding vote to continue that war despite the pain it’s causing for farmers. Tiffany voted with Donald Trump 100% of the time.
“Now, Trump’s flying into Tiffany’s district, where Tiffany will literally stand by Trump’s side and praise the policies that have led to eight times more Wisconsin farm bankruptcies than last year.
“Earlier this year, I sat down with farmers in Chippewa County who told me their farms were going under because of Trump’s tariffs. One farmer covered under the ACA told me he got a letter saying his health insurance premium was going from $274 to over $1,600 because of Trump and Tiffany’s cuts. He tore it up and is going without insurance.
“It’s time to reject the status quo Washington Way that is hurting Wisconsin’s farmers. As Governor, I will get things done the Wisconsin Way to lower costs, keep farms in the family, and actually show up for the people who feed this state and country.”
