The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) now offers a special license plate from Iola Car Show, Inc. This organization coordinates the Iola Car Show and Swap Meet which has been held annually for more than 50 years and serves as a fundraiser for approximately 120 non-profit, civic and community organizations. Attendance at the show is around 120,000 participants each year and has an economic impact of more than $30 million annually. The donation that is required with this license plate will go toward the organization’s overall charitable contributions. The show has issued more than $10 million in direct funding to their volunteer organizations.
The fees for this special license plate include:
- $25 contribution to the organization. The donation may be tax deductible.
- A one-time $15 issuance fee.
- Plates may be personalized for an additional $15 fee each year.
- The regular vehicle registration fee (which may include wheel tax, if applicable).
This new plate joins the growing list of 70 special license plates which can be viewed and ordered online at wisconsindmv.gov/specialplates or ordered by mail. Plates are mailed to the customer.
