A group backing Milwaukee County Exec David Crowley is going up with a new TV buy today that praises him for “fighting back” against Donald Trump policies it says have driven up prices for gas, food and clothing.
Wisconsin Future Rising said its six-figure buy will run on broadcast and cable in the Milwaukee, Madison and Green Bay markets.
It comes on the heels of a $175,000 buy from Wisconsin Forward Fund, which is backing Lt. Gov. Sara Rodriguez in the Dem gubernatorial primary. The buys are the first supporting any of the candidates in the race for the Dem nomination.
The narrator in the Wisconsin Future Rising spot says Crowley has invested more than $100 million to build affordable housing and prevent evictions while helping families by cutting taxes and improving local services.

The narrator concludes the spot, “Tell David Crowley to keep fighting for a safe and affordable Wisconsin.”
