WisPolitics is conducting a straw poll at the Dem state convention this weekend to gauge who party activists favor in the gubernatorial race.
Seven Dems made the ballot for the Aug. 11 primary: former Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes, former DOA Secretary Joel Brennan, Milwaukee County Exec David Crowley, state Rep. Francesca Hong, former WEDC Secretary and CEO Missy Hughes, Lt. Gov. Sara Rodriguez and state Sen. Kelda Roys.
There are 60 days until the primary.
The straw poll will also provide an early look at who activists prefer in the race for the party’s 2028 presidential nomination.
