Fair Wisconsin PAC, the political action committee of Wisconsin’s only statewide LGBTQ+ civil rights and political advocacy organization, announced their in four state constitutional offices.  Abigail Swetz, Fair Wisconsin’s Executive Director, issued the following statements:

Sarah Godlewski for Lieutenant Governor

“Sarah Godlewski is dedicated to making Wisconsinites’ lives better – we saw it when she was State Treasurer with her work on COVID-19 remote learning funding, we’re seeing it now that she is Secretary of State with her dedication to transparency and democracy, and we will see it again when she becomes Wisconsin’s Lieutenant Governor, where she will continue to be a leader for all Wisconsinites, including our LGBTQ+ community.”

Attorney General Josh Kaul

“Attorney General Josh Kaul has been a steadfast defender of the rights of LGBTQ+ Wisconsinites his entire career, most recently in his defense against the Trump administration’s attacks on the rights of our transgender Americans. AG Kaul has done incredible work as Wisconsin’s Attorney General in defending against the federal administration’s intrusion into the lives and liberties all of us hold dear as Americans, and reelecting him will help our state continue to move forward towards a more inclusive state where the LGBTQ+ community can thrive.”

JoCasta Zamarippa for Secretary of State

“As the first out bi member of the state legislature and the first Latina representative, JoCasta Zamarippa was an incredible champion for every Wisconsinite as a state representative, and she continues this work today as an alder working to actively oppose ICE in Milwaukee. When she is elected Secretary of State, she will be one of the first LGBTQ+ people elected to a constitutional office in Wisconsin, and the first Latina elected statewide. As someone who knows what it means to break barriers when achieving her goals, Zamarippa will work to eliminate barriers for anyone looking to build a future in Wisconsin.”

Dylan Helmenstine for State Treasurer

“When Dylan is elected State Treasurer, he will not only be a champion for the LGBTQ+ community and every Wisconsinite, but he will also be one of the first LGBTQ+ people elected to a constitutional office in Wisconsin. As a member of the Wisconsin Heights School Board and the Village Board of Black Earth, he has shown his dedication to public service, and now he is looking to serve the entire state of Wisconsin. His  priorities of government transparency, fully and equitably funded public schools, and using his position to ensure every Wisconsin community is invested in are the priorities Wisconsin needs in a State Treasurer.”
