MILWAUKEE, Wis. — State Representative Russell Antonio Goodwin, Sr. today released his newest campaign commercial, “Goodwin for Stronger Neighborhoods,” filmed in the neighborhood near Gilbert Stuart School in Wisconsin’s 12th Assembly District.
The commercial highlights the concerns Goodwin says he hears most from residents: rising property taxes, increasing grocery costs, public safety, and the need to strengthen neighborhoods while protecting working families and seniors.
Filming near Gilbert Stuart School reflects Goodwin’s commitment to investing in education while pursuing long-term funding reform.
“I believe our teachers deserve the resources they need to succeed. Our students deserve every opportunity to receive a quality education. And our homeowners deserve meaningful property tax relief,” Goodwin said. “We shouldn’t have to choose one over the other. By fixing Wisconsin’s school funding formula and the shared revenue formula, we can better support our schools while helping protect working families, seniors, and homeowners from ever-increasing property taxes.”
The commercial also highlights Goodwin’s record of public service. As State Representative, Goodwin has been involved in more than 500 pieces of legislation, helped pass more than 40 bills through the State Assembly, and had 21 bills signed into law.
The campaign encourages voters to watch the commercial, volunteer, contribute, and participate in the August 11 Democratic Primary.
