PLEASANT PRAIRIE – Rep. Amanda Nedweski announces her endorsement of Sandy Wiedmeyer for
Wisconsin State Senate District 11. Sen. Steve Nass announced his retirement from the Legislature
earlier this year, and Wiedmeyer is one of three Republicans facing off for the seat in the August
11th primary election.

“Sandy Wiedmeyer’s strength, tenacity, and professional skills are what we need now in the state
senate. A highly successful entrepreneur, business professional, organizational leader, and
accomplished parent, she brings a mature and balanced perspective to the legislative negotiating
table, said Nedweski. “Sandy’s life experience is strongly rooted in the real world, not in the Capitol.

We have too many career politicians in Madison. Sandy works closely with hardworking
Wisconsinites every day. People want a senator who is connected to real working families, not to
Madison insiders.”

Wiedmeyer’s lengthy resume includes her long-time role as an operations superintendent for the
Pleasant Prairie RecPlex and her role as chair of the Republican Party of Kenosha County since 2022.
She previously owned her own fitness business and was a competitive body builder while
raising her family in the Village of Bristol.

In 2021, Wiedmeyer joined Nedweski and three other local parents in starting the first Wisconsin
chapter of Moms for Liberty, a national non-profit that advocates for parental rights. They worked
to confront government overreach during the pandemic, fighting to keep schools and businesses
open, to empower parents with medical freedom for their children, and to expose anti-American
extremism in classrooms. The group continues to rack up wins fighting to keep boys out of girls’
bathrooms, locker rooms, and sports. Following her own tragic family experience, Wiedmeyer also
advocated for legislation to ensure patients can never be kept from their loved ones, even during
public health emergencies.

“Through her decades of service in the community, Sandy has demonstrated a proven commitment
to conservative principles and common-sense family values,” said Nedweski. “She has the
confidence to stand up when necessary, and the wisdom to know how and when to compromise in
the best interest of the people. With Sandy Wiedmeyer, we will get results. We will be closer to
shrinking the government, lowering taxes, protecting life, and preserving the American Dream.”
