NEW FRANKEN, WI — Nic Cravillion announced today that he has received the endorsement of the Wisconsin REALTORS® Association (WRA) in his campaign for the Wisconsin First Senate District. The WRA is one of the largest trade organizations in the state, representing over 17,500 real estate agents, brokers, appraisers, property managers and other real estate professionals across the state.

The endorsement recognizes Cravillion’s commitment to expanding housing opportunities, protecting private property rights, reducing unnecessary regulatory barriers and promoting policies that make home ownership more attainable for Wisconsin families.

“The Wisconsin REALTORS® Association is committed to helping more Wisconsin families achieve the dream of homeownership and making housing more affordable – goals that I passionately share,” said Cravillion.  “I am grateful for their endorsement and the trust they have placed in me.”

When elected, Cravillion will work with WRA to help expand available housing in Wisconsin by reducing barriers to housing development, eliminating burdensome government regulations and encouraging the construction of new homes.

“My wife Caitlin is a REALTOR® in Northeast Wisconsin, which has given me a first-hand look at how rising housing costs are making the American dream of owning a home increasingly more difficult for working families,” said Cravillion.  “By getting government out of the way and expanding the overall housing supply, costs will decrease, and Wisconsin residents will be able to afford to buy a home and put down roots in the communities they call home.”

Cravillion also noted that rising property taxes have added to the cost of homeownership.  In particular, he cited Governor Tony Evers’ 2023 budget veto which created a 400-year property tax increase.  If elected, Cravillion pledged to work with legislative leaders to reverse this policy and support other measures to bring down property taxes in the state.
