MILWAUKEE — Judge Pedro Colón’s campaign for the Wisconsin Supreme Court announced today that it raised $250,185 in the first reporting period of the race, over $100,000 more than his opponent.
The campaign’s strong fundraising showing follows the announcement of over 100 endorsements from across Wisconsin, including Justice-elect Chris Taylor, Congressman Mark Pocan, Congresswoman Gwen Moore, and numerous other current and former judges and elected officials.
“I am truly honored to see the excitement and support that our campaign is generating across this state”, said Judge Pedro Colón. “We are building the grassroots momentum needed to win next spring and I could not be more grateful to the nearly 600 people who chipped in what they could to move our campaign forward.”
Judge Pedro Colón is a graduate of Marquette University and the University of Wisconsin Law School. He was the first Latino ever elected to the Wisconsin Legislature, representing Milwaukee in the State Assembly from 1999 to 2010. He was appointed by Governor Jim Doyle to the Milwaukee County Circuit Court in 2010, where he served for 13 years. In 2023, he was appointed to the Wisconsin Court of Appeals by Governor Tony Evers, becoming the first Latino to serve on our state’s appellate court. Colón and his wife Betty live on Milwaukee’s south side and have two daughters.
The Wisconsin Supreme Court general election will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2027, with a primary on February 16, 2027 if necessary. For more about Judge Pedro Colón and his campaign, visit www.pedrocolon.com. A headshot of Judge Colón can be downloaded here.
