Dem gubernatorial candidate Kelda Roys in a new spot says Republicans like Trump broke the healthcare system so insurance companies could profit more.

“It’s almost like they’re trying to kill us,” Roys says as she avoids a speeding ambulance behind her with its lights on.

Several people in the spot then say Roys would open the state’s health insurance plan so others could purchase the same coverage lawmakers have, cap drug costs, protect abortion rights and invest in mental health.

Roys closes the ad, “Because Trump and Republicans work for insurance companies. I work for you.”
