WAUSAU, Wis. Republican congressional candidate Kevin Hermening today announced his “Ready on Day One Tour,” a 10-day campaign swing through every county in Wisconsin’s largest congressional district, stretching from Lake Superior to central Wisconsin, ahead of the August 11 Republican Primary.
The Ready on Day One Tour officially kicks off Saturday, August 1, with a Meet and Greet at Breakwater Restaurant in Ashland from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. Community members are invited to stop by, meet Kevin, ask questions, and discuss the issues that matter most to them.
Beginning August 1 in Ashland and concluding August 10 in Wausau, Hermening will travel thousands of miles across northern and western Wisconsin, visiting all 26 counties in Wisconsin’s 7th Congressional District and meeting voters in communities large and small. The tour builds on a grassroots campaign that has already taken Hermening to every county in the district during the campaign, reinforcing his belief that effective representation begins with listening and showing up.
“Throughout this campaign, I’ve been committed to showing up. I’ve visited every county because I believe leadership starts with listening. The Ready on Day One Tour is another opportunity to hear directly from voters and earn the privilege of representing Wisconsin’s 7th District in Congress.”

Hermening has spent a lifetime serving his country and his community-as a Marine Corps veteran and former Iran hostage, former Chairman of the Marathon County Republican Party, Wisconsin Trump Elector, former President of the Mosinee School Board, financial advisor, educator, and small business owner..
Hermening is the only Republican candidate in Wisconsin’s 7th Congressional District race who served as a Wisconsin Trump Elector, reflecting his longstanding leadership in the conservative movement.
“As Chairman of the Marathon County Republican Party and as a Wisconsin Trump Elector, I didn’t just support President Trump’s campaign – I helped organize the grassroots effort that elected him and advanced the America First movement here in Wisconsin,” Hermening said. “Now I’m traveling every corner of this district because the people of northern Wisconsin deserve a representative who shows up, listens, and is ready to get to work on Day One. I’ll be a strong partner for President Trump in advancing an America First agenda and delivering results for Wisconsin’s 7th District.”
The tour will feature dozens of public events and informal “Catch Up with Kevin” stops throughout the district, giving voters another opportunity to meet Hermening, ask questions, and discuss the issues facing Wisconsin’s 7th Congressional District.
Updates, photos, and public event information will be posted throughout the tour on the campaign’s social media channels.
