3rd CD Dem primary candidate Emily Berge is on air with an ad highlighting her answer during a forum that she would vote to impeach President Trump, contrasting that with rival Rebecca Cooke’s answer to the same question.
In a new 30-second spot, Berge, president of the Eau Claire City Council, says she’s “fighting for community, stability and fixing our politics.” A Berge spokesperson said it’s a $45,000 buy running in the Eau Claire and La Crosse media markets.
The ad opens with footage from the 3rd CD Democratic primary candidate forum back in June during which the two candidates were asked whether or not they would impeach President Trump.
Cooke answers by saying the “devil’s in the details, but I think there’s a lot of different ways in which we can find accountability,” while Berge says that she would vote to impeach the president, adding, “We need to hold this administration accountable.”

The ad goes on to highlight Berge’s experience on Eau Claire’s City Council and endorsements from local elected officials in the 3rd CD.
The ad ends flashing the words “health care for all, housing for all, affordability for all” on screen over footage of Berge speaking at a campaign rally.
