MADISON, WI – This morning, Senator Dianne Hesselbein held a virtual press conference to address the news that Republican candidate for Senate, Michele Magadance Skinner, has been illegally claiming primary residence in both Wisconsin and Georgia and successfully avoiding the payment of tens of thousands of dollars in taxes.

Senator Hesselbein called on Magadance Skinner to end her campaign, stating her actions of defrauding the very people she is running to represent make her unfit for elected office.

Senator Dianne Hesselbein’s full comments calling on Michele Magadance Skinner to drop out of the race for State Senate in the 31st district:

“I’m sure you’ve all read or are aware of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel story published on Friday detailing years of tax fraud by Republican State Senate candidate Michele Magadance Skinner.

The article lays out the criminality of these actions, and one thing is clear: her actions should completely disqualify her from running for or holding elected office in Wisconsin.

The absurd hypocrisy of defrauding the very people you are running to represent says all we need to know about Michele Magadance Skinner. She is plainly unfit for public office.

Michele and her husband have spent years defrauding taxpayers in both Wisconsin and Georgia by claiming to be primary residents of both states. Successfully avoiding payment of tens of thousands of dollars in taxes and breaking the law in both states.

Michele Magadance Skinner should drop out, end her campaign today, and pay back the taxpayers of both Wisconsin and Georgia she’s taken advantage of, and if she does not take those actions of self-accountability, we’ll be working with attorneys and the proper authorities to seek to compel her to do so.

Speaking of fraud and abuse of power, I now would like to pose a question to Tom Tiffany. As someone who proudly championed Elon Musk’s DOGE, will you be consistent and join me in calling for Michele Magadance Skinner to drop out as well?
