WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Derrick Van Orden joined Vice President JD Vance, members of Congress, and senior Trump Administration officials at the White House for a roundtable focused on eliminating fraud.

The discussion focused on strengthening efforts to root out fraud across the federal government and ensuring taxpayer-funded programs operate with greater accountability and integrity.

Earlier this week, Congressman Van Orden hosted FBI Director Kash Patel and local law enforcement leaders in Eau Claire to discuss many of the same priorities, including combating fraud, dismantling criminal networks, and ensuring law enforcement has the tools needed to protect Wisconsin communities and taxpayer dollars.

During the visit, Van Orden called on Governor Tony Evers to turn over Wisconsin’s SNAP data to the Trump Administration, so taxpayer dollars are protected, and benefits are provided only to those who are legally eligible.

“Protecting taxpayer dollars and ensuring government programs work as intended should be a bipartisan priority,” said Congressman Van Orden. “I’m grateful for Vice President Vance’s leadership and will continue working with the Administration to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse and ensure government programs operate with integrity.”
