WASHINGTON, D.C. — Black Men Vote PAC is proud to officially endorse Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley for Governor of Wisconsin.

Black Men Vote PAC supports candidates who understand that earning the support of Black men requires delivering results on the issues that directly affect their families, careers, businesses, health, and communities. Crowley’s record of public service and his vision for Wisconsin align with that commitment.

“Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley understands that political leadership has to translate into real opportunity for Black men and their families,” said Michael Bland, Executive Director of Black Men Vote PAC. “From creating pathways to good-paying careers and supporting entrepreneurs to expanding access to housing and health care, David has demonstrated that he is focused on outcomes that strengthen communities. We are proud to endorse him, and we are ready to organize, mobilize, and turn out Black men across Wisconsin to help elect him as the state’s next governor.”

Crowley made history in 2020 when he became the youngest and first Black County Executive elected in Milwaukee County. His rise from community organizer to state legislator and County Executive reflects both his connection to the communities he serves and his experience turning policy priorities into action.

As County Executive, Crowley has focused on expanding economic opportunity and strengthening Milwaukee County’s financial position. His administration helped secure additional resources for local governments through Wisconsin Act 12 and delivered the largest property tax cut in Milwaukee County history.

His record also reflects priorities central to Black Men Vote PAC’s agenda, particularly workforce development, small business support and entrepreneurship. Crowley has supported investments designed to connect residents with employment opportunities,
strengthen local businesses, expand economic development and create pathways to long-term economic security.

Crowley has also made housing and community investment a priority. Milwaukee County has invested more than $45 million in housing since he took office, including an initiative to create 120 rent-to-own homes in Milwaukee’s King Park neighborhood. His administration has invested more than $60 million in eviction prevention, helping families remain securely housed while addressing one of the most significant barriers to building long-term economic stability.

That means supporting candidates whose records and agendas address the issues Black men consistently identify as priorities, including education, health care, entrepreneurship, workforce development and economic opportunity.

David Crowley has demonstrated an understanding that government should create pathways for people to build careers, start businesses, own homes, support their families and participate fully in the economic future of their communities.
