Tonight, Wisconsin Republicans nominated one of the most extreme candidates in the country for governor: MAGA Congressman Tom Tiffany, a career politician whose record is a blueprint for extremism. Tiffany has spent years in Congress doing Donald Trump’s bidding, embracing the most toxic elements of the MAGA movement, and voting for policies that make life harder and more expensive for Wisconsin families — building a record wildly out of step with the state he now wants to lead.

Here’s the Tom Tiffany Wisconsin Republicans just nominated:

• Tiffany has spent his career actively voting to sabotage the economic security of Wisconsinites. From stripping healthcare coverage and food assistance from the most vulnerable to pushing tax breaks for the wealthy, he has consistently prioritized Donald Trump’s interests over the daily struggle of families trying to keep the lights on and food on the table.
• Tiffany is the hand-picked candidate of billionaire megadonors Richard and Elizabeth Uihlein, who poured over $13 million into the groups behind Project 2025, accepting massive contributions from them. Tiffany has proven he is fully committed to enacting the radical blueprint designed to dismantle government protections, slash essential services, and consolidate power for the ultra-wealthy. 
• Tiffany has built his legislative career as a rubber stamp for extreme abortion bans — including federal legislation that would criminalize abortion nationwide with no exceptions for rape, incest, or life of the mother. Now that he is running for governor, Tiffany is clearly terrified of his own record, scrubbing his campaign website to hide his true intentions from Wisconsin voters.
• Tiffany tried to overturn the 2020 election. He backed an effort to overturn election results in Wisconsin and other battleground states and voted against certifying Joe Biden’s victory. 
• Tiffany hasn’t just tolerated extremism — he has actively invited it into his campaign.  From appearing on podcasts with a host who mocked the Holocaust and defended “Camp Auschwitz” attire, to welcoming campaign support from “Stop the Steal” and QAnon figures.
