“Wisconsin’s 1st Congressional District primary election results make clear that radical activists have taken control of the Wisconsin Democrat Party.” said a Steil Campaign Spokesman. “While Berman spends his time focused on policies that drive up costs for working families and suing local school boards, Congressman Steil remains focused on the issues that matter most to voters – making life more affordable, reducing the cost of housing, and banning members of Congress from trading stocks.”

- On August 11, Mitchell Berman won the Democrat Primary for WI-01
- Berman is a radical-activist who has a platform that would harm working families and disrupt our community
- Berman has repeatedly opposed H.R. 1, the One Big Beautiful Bill, which provided meaningful tax relief for working families including:
- Cutting taxes on tips and overtime
- Increased and made permanent the child tax credit to $2200
- Eliminate taxes on Social Security so seniors can keep the retirement income they worked their whole lives for
- Created work requirements for able-bodied childless adults of 20-hours a week to receive public benefits
- In 2025, Berman had his felony election fraud complaint dismissed by the bipartisan Wisconsin Elections Commission.
- “[He]has not done anything more than make a general allegation, unsupported by details or evidence, that the affidavits submitted by signatories who wished to have their signatures removed from the recall petition contained false information,” the WEC wrote in its closure letter.”
- Just last week, Berman had a Federal Elections Commission complaint filed against him
- Berman was caught potentially violating Federal Election Laws relating to mandatory campaign finance disclosures.
