NEW FRANKEN, WI — Nic Cravillion declared victory Tuesday night in the Republican primary for Wisconsin’s First Senate District, earning more than 9,000 votes and over 40 percent of the vote according to unofficial results, and thanking voters across Northeast Wisconsin for placing their trust in a local farm kid, Army combat veteran, small business owner, husband, and father to be their voice in Madison.

“First and foremost, I thank God for the blessings He has given me, for guiding me throughout this journey, and for the opportunity to continue serving the people and communities I love.

I would also like to thank the voters of Wisconsin’s First Senate District for the tremendous trust you have placed in me.

The voters chose a farm kid from New Franken. A seventh generation Northeast Wisconsinite whose roots run deep in this community. Someone who grew up here, raised a family here, served his country, and has spent years working directly for the people of Northeast Wisconsin.

I am incredibly humbled that the people of this district have chosen me to be their Republican nominee and their candidate to continue fighting for Northeast Wisconsin in Madison.

I also want to recognize the three other Republican candidates who put themselves forward to serve Northeast Wisconsin. Each of them ran a strong campaign, and they made me work harder every single day. Putting your name on the ballot and asking your neighbors for their trust takes courage, and having just gone through it myself, I know firsthand how difficult it can be. They deserve our respect and should be applauded for stepping forward and running the races they did.

I have spoken with all three candidates since the election, and I am proud to have their support as we move forward together. I hope they, their supporters, and everyone who voted for me continue to hold me to the same high standard this campaign demanded of me. I will continue working hard, showing up, and fighting every single day for the people of Northeast Wisconsin.

Yesterday is also a reminder that our work is not finished. Democrats have made clear that they intend to compete aggressively for control in Wisconsin. The stakes in November could not be higher. Now is the time for Republicans to come together, unite behind our shared conservative values, and win Wisconsin in November.

I could not have made it here alone. Thank you to every volunteer who knocked doors, put up signs, walked in parades, made phone calls, donated, shared our message, and believed in this campaign. Thank you to the community leaders, friends, and family members who stood with us throughout this journey.

I especially want to thank my friend and mentor, Senator André Jacque, for his friendship, his support, and the opportunity to serve alongside him for nearly six years.

And most importantly, thank you to my wife Caitlin and my children. They have sacrificed more than anyone throughout this campaign, and I would not be celebrating this victory had it not been for them.

Yesterday, the people of Northeast Wisconsin chose one of their own.
