Fresh on the heels of Wisconsin’s primary, a group affiliated with the Democratic Governors Association has launched a new seven-figure buy knocking Republican nominee Tom Tiffany for having a “MAGA agenda” that’s too extreme.
As of this afternoon, AdImpact had tracked nearly $1.4 million in reservations on broadcast, cable and streaming services from Protect Our Wisconsin. That comes after the group spent nearly $505,000 pre-primary going after Tiffany, a GOP congressman from Minocqua.
The narrator opens the ad saying Tiffany is a “pandering politician” who pretends he’s “anything but a congressman with a MAGA agenda.” The truth, the narrator adds, is Tiffany’s so radical that “even Republicans say he’s part of a group of legislative terrorists in Congress.”
The narrator closes the spot, “He supported January 6th rioters, voted to slash Social Security services, and co-sponsored a bill to ban abortion with no exceptions for rape or incest. Tom Tiffany’s real agenda is too extreme.”
