MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Democratic gubernatorial nominee David Crowley is standing up for working families—against big tech billionaires—and that’s why working men and women across Wisconsin are supporting his vision for Wisconsin. 

Working Wisconsinites are rejecting MAGA Congressman Tom Tiffany and Donald Trump’s extreme agenda to let billionaires steamroll our state with data centers and little oversight. While accepting endorsements this week from the Wisconsin AFL-CIO and Clean Wisconsin Action Fund for his work as Milwaukee County Executive and his positive vision to move Wisconsin forward, Crowley and others noted that GOP gubernatorial nominee and MAGA extremist Congressman Tom Tiffany has led the charge in Congress to give nearly $70 billion in massive tax breaks and little oversight to the same big tech companies developing data centers and AI. It’s clear that “David Crowley wants to stop Big Tech companies from scamming Wisconsinites.”

In contrast, there’s a reason people think “Tom Tiffany serves the AI oligarchs,” with his extreme record being laid out: “Tiffany’s record on AI regulation is atrocious. Earlier this year, he voted for a version of Trump’s ‘One Big, Beautiful Bill’ that sought to ban states from enforcing laws regulating artificial intelligence for the next decade […] Tiffany gleefully cast a deciding vote — on a 215-214 split in the House — for the tech industry’s agenda.”

“As the next governor of Wisconsin, I will aggressively protect Wisconsinites from the abuses of these data centers, from these large tech companies, and the MAGA extremists like Congressman Tom Tiffany who want them to steamroll our state with few guardrails,” said Crowley. “While working families are struggling to pay for groceries, housing, and childcare, Congressman Tiffany is lining the pockets of big tech executives and giving them more money and power to build data centers across Wisconsin. As governor, I will always put the working people of Wisconsin first and fight against the billionaires trying to buy politicians like Congressman Tom Tiffany.”

MAGA Congressman Tom Tiffany has spent nearly 20 years in politics destroying Wisconsin families and farmland. This is not the only time Congressman Tiffany has sided with big tech over Wisconsin workers, families, and farmers. He cast the deciding vote for a 10-year moratorium on AI regulation that would ban states from regulating data centers, and then voted to fast track the building of those very same data centers with little oversight. Tiffany also supported measures allowing these AI enthusiasts to run wild in our state and burn more coal instead of using clean and renewable energy. It’s clear he’d sell Wisconsinites out as governor.
