MADISON, WI – Tom Tiffany is taking his campaign across Wisconsin to turn out every vote for November’s elections on his Protect Wisconsin’s Farmland Tour. This weekend while campaigning in Coon Valley and Osseo on Friday, as well as Superior on Saturday, Tiffany made clear that he will fight to end taxpayer subsidies for data centers while Democrat David Crowley plans to sell out the people of our state and their land to mega-corporations.

Campaigning in the Coon Valley, Tiffany emphasized that Wisconsin farmers should not have their land purchased by data center companies only to end up getting stuck with the bill.

Tiffany laid out the contrast in this race, highlighting how Data Center David Crowley stands with mega-corporations pushing for data centers. At the same time, he will fight for Wisconsin families and their rights. WIZM News reports:

Referring to his Democratic Party opponent in November as “Data Center David Crowley,” Tiffany argued that Crowley’s support of such developments could put many Wisconsin farms out of business. “He has said that he wants to keep subsidies for these mega-corporations that are building the data centers,” Tiffany told about a dozen backers at the hilltop farm. “I can assure you, as governor, I will not allow the subsidies to go on for these companies that do not need it.”

At a stop in Osseo, Tiffany said he will ensure farmland is protected while working to decrease energy costs for Wisconsinites. WQOW-TV reports:

If elected, Tiffany hopes Wisconsin’s Public Service Commission can reduce rising energy costs, which he attributes to utilities’ overreliance on wind and solar energy.

“We need to get control of them that’s going to be the first task I’ll have for my Public Service Commission nominees but then we’re also going to stop this conversion of our farmland, it’s just simply too important and so we need to get affordable, reliable energy sources,” Tiffany said.
